After a year break from trials I come back and everytime I ride my damn shoulder starts to hurt badly! (as do my wrists) Its only my right shoulder and it feels like its the shoulder muscle its not cramping but hurting badly. I thought I was just sore from coming back after being totally out of shape but it keeps hurting? Could it be that my front end is too low and its hurting my shoulder? Front end feels heavy with my 90x5, you think i I went to say a 90x15 it would solve both problems? I am about 5'7-8 and a wuss. :bigthumb:

I don't know how good you are, but when I started with my new bike (PX Zebdi), I hadn't a clue as to what I was doing. I destroyed my wrists (from jerking the bar up, and not knowing how to position myself when the front lands). I bought a RS SID 80mm shock to throw on the front to soak up my pathetic-ness. Saved the wrists, helped the shoulder. After i figured some of the basics out, I took the SID off.

I saw a specialist on the wrist. They told me to stop what i was doing (as if). The shock helped... for a little while.

Just a thought...Maybe when you trackstand, you are turning the bar and putting all your weight on your one shoulder. Try to trackstand with the handlbars almost straight or vary your bar position from left to right to take pressure off your right shoulder. It's either your form or your one shoulder is weaker and/or has an old injury.

Do you spend a lot of time in front of the computer? If you do, then you should might be strained from using the mouse for extended periods of time. At least that is what happening to me. As far as wrists hurting it can be because of bar sweep angle and very stiff fork. (you can also try to run low air pressue in the front tire)

I spend usually 10~12 hrs a day in front of a computer and I didn't have these problems before I started spending so much time in front of it. What is really important is how good your work area is. If you can support your elbow on something and don't have your arm streched out too far forward then you should be ok. The point to remember is that streching is very important when you are in the same position for many hours at a time and bad work setting can lead to severe and permanent problems. (carpal tunnel, bad lower back etc.)
