Electro-jazz-fusion-synthnoise-IDM-braindance-drill'n'bass-ragga-acid-breaks with a few lovely classical guitar solos for good measure.

The only musician who could hold his own against classical composers in terms of
    compositional originality ,and sonic complexity.

or anything from Eighteenth Street Lounge label. they're not as crazy as squarpusher.

RJD2 is also incredible. absolutely incredible. instrumental hip/hop.

black eyed peas, blackilicious for regular hiphop

the gray album- jay-z's black album mixed w/ Beatles music (i think its their white album they used) this is the the best abum i have purchased these last few months

the new "the killers" is a light and airly listen. However since you gave us no input, and you don't have a clue what you would want to buy...you might want to go for the new "NOW thats what I call music!- vol 15"

Well, I was in the store today. I couldn't remember any of the bands you guys mentioned, so i just skimmed through stuff hoping i would remember some names and found squarepusher and that rung a bell, then i ran into Moddest mouse in the employee picks section, I remember somone from the forum telling me to get some moddest mouse too. So since moddest mouse was in the employee picks sectiion i went with that.. I think its good stuff..

I usually listen to classic rock and some other stuff like that (the doors, led zeppelin, presidents of united states, 311, phish, dave matthews, rolling stones, etc... ) but after listening to music in bike movies i am becoming more interested in that music... So thats why im asking for your opinions... I sorta like the fischerspooner song from andrewt's vince vid, and also the song in his grind vid is different.. Anyways, give me more suggestions, i wanna get more!! BTW, where do you find these rare bands? Do you guys just buy random cds from the store, cause ive never even heard of some of these bands. and they are as good as the ones i have heard of.

Maybe I shoulda got somthing else, but i remember hearing a mouse song in one of average mike's vids, and the guy and the girl at the store both suggested that i get the mouse cd. And I do like it. I want somthing a bit more next time... What should I get next? Squarepusher? fischer spooner? tell me your favorite, i dont know any of these bands...

song in the grind vid is probably mm. If you bought "good news for ppl who like bad news" you might want to throw it out and buy a real mm album. I tell you what, if you want a real album (the fischerspooner was a cover from this album)

    go buy

    Wire- 157, from 1979.

ya, i did get good news for ppl who like bad news, only because the guy said it was one of their best albums yet.

So wire huh? is that the band name? What is square pusher like? Is it technoish like fischerspooner?

Anyways, I want to get a different band next time, gimme your thoughts... thanks!!!1 :D

    The Slackers - Redlight

Ska with reggae sound. Ruggurio (could be wrong on his last name) has the best voice in the world, so smooth.

squarepusher is not like fischerspooner. Wire is like pink floyd, but 4820937 times better...hard to explain. Fischerspooner and the faint are fairly similar. The faint has a better live show. Most of fischersponers songs are more up beat, like the faint song used in FTC 4. What kind of record store did you go to?

It's just a local store right downtown.. It has all kinds of music (techno, blues, jazz, classical, rock, rap, folk, etc..).. Mostly rock i guess... They sell dvds and stuff like cd cases too...

tell that teller he is an idiot. Go buy a different mm album...the moon and antarctica for example.

have you seen the FTC series and vincents vid? Let me know what of those you like and I can steer you in other directions...but if you are up to it, get that wire album it is one of the greatest rock albums of all time- you must be prepared to give it a serious listen.

edit: safe bet...go buy the band "at the drive-in" album title "relationship of command". If you like that, and you will (just go right now and buy it), pick up "The Mars Volta" album "deloused in the comatorium"...then go buy all of ATDI's older stuff like in casino out etc.

If you get a Modest Mouse cd then get Building Nothing out of Something or This is a Long Drive for Someone with Nothing to Think About. Their new cd sucks compared to their old cds.
