I know im slow, or maybe im just not seeing clearly. but since i've had PF Directors Cut i haven't been able to figure out what this is some1 help
how many times to i have to tell people it isnt fake before it sinks in. never mind dont listen to me i dont know what im talking about.
ah, kevin just gets really bitter sometimes... maybe he has PMS. i dont know. the thing is an air pressure gauge. the frame is supposedly filled with air to make it stiffer or stronger or somthing.
WHAT thats insane! I can definately see that working for dents and stuff with really high pressure, but that would also add weight....cool
I believe it is so that if the frame gets a crack the pressure drops on the gauge and you can tell that your frame is damaged.
pump your tyres up with helium. i have to try that someday soon, maybe its why all the koxx riderslike .... float.
maybe the koxx riders are good beacuse they dont ever get off a bike and were born riding one... and they trian really hard.
Putting helium in your tires wouldn't work unfortunately because the helium gas would actually pass right through the tubes and tires. The rubber is too porus (sp?) to hold the gas. The only reason I know that is because my physics professor actually mentioned it in class.
The problem is, all that extra weight would negate any minute advantage helium would offer. As for dents and stiffness, who knows...
