Washing helmets?

    So I'm about to go riding today and notice this :eek3:

    Umm that can't be mold......holy shiet *lick* blaasdacccccccck!!! So I've been basically riding with Dead Sea growing on my ear. Oh yea the metal piece that's holding the straps? It's rusted like a 20 year old dead Huffy. Geezus...so you guys wash your helmets? Gross huh :yum:

    my helmet gets like that once a week because when i ride i do stuff that makes me leak. just use light soap on it in the kitchen sink to wash it off every so often.

    as long as it doesnt start talking back to you then no worries. otherwise it just gives you "character" kind of like a lazy eye or a hunch back.

    It just seems like every time I ride I have to wash my gloves...I must sweat a lot :down:

    just use the shower to clean it off and then let it dry for a couple hours

    Dunk it in liquid soap and scrub it off..dont lick it..

    Tide is the best for getting rid of stink from sweat and what not. Dish soap and its ilk don't get the job done.
