Considering this is my only bike....I figured it's be kinda nice to have a seat ONLY for when I take the semi long journeys to spots. Semi long Journey equals anything over a mile or so.

I rode my bike like 6 miles one way the other day WITHOUT a seat....it was a JOURNEY not being able to sit down wasn't fun when just pedaling around.

Considering the fact that my seattube hole has no room for a clamp, I'de need to find a seat post as well. It doesn't need to be anything COMFORTABLE, just something to sit on while pedaling. I had a Velo Mini on my freeride bike. It was small and padded...comfy, it wasn't but it also wasn't like sitting on a dildo :eek3: ....err, not that I'de know what that feels like, LOL

What are some LIGHT seat posts and small seats? What do you recommend? I have no clue what diameter my seatube is, so if anybody knows, please fill me in.....

Uhm... a car works well in situations like that

I have a seat w/ a tube that is as long as I can get it. For those 'meandering' days where we go multiple places. However, I suck to matter how light it needs to be. You can actually pedal something with a taller seat tube, so just take it out when you're stopped, and doing trials.

IMHO.

LOL....I don't have a license, well, for another 5 years....LOL, LONG STORY.....LMK if you guys wanna hear about it :ugh2:

Well, I HAVE a seat, but it's a little piece of plastic that trimmed to fit/be pushed in:

It was trimmed a little TOO much so I had to use electrical tape around it so it would fit SNUG and not fall out.

Well, lightness, I wasn't really CARING about weight, as I would prolly do the same and take it out when I got to the spot.....but I would like SOMETHING to sit on on those "trekking" days.....

How are those Planet X seats?

They look padded, and are "trials seats" so I could prolly sit on it and leave it in...

Anybody?

stick with a narrow seat!

I have that PX seat. it sucks. I kept hitting it with my legs (ouch). Get something that is as narrow as possible at the widest possible point.

Oh, BTW, I have a townbike that you can hook a trials bike fork too... I may have a pic somewhere.

Ah...that sucks......

Maybe I'm searching for somethin that DOESN'T exist....something I can sit on, and if possible, leave in....

I can't really recall hitting my Velo Mini Seat....

Mine was all black though, no ghey glitter and it was like 1 inch longer than that push in plastic seat I have now....heavy though......I think....

Although it has no padding(well the seat above, that padding sure as hell didn;'t feel like it was there, LOL) it's something to sit on...I just dunno if my seat post is 22.2 mm.......

All trials seats look so fucking gay its not even funny.

If you can't find a $10 cruiser to ride around (or a moped) just man up and get a real seat, full size. All trials seats are WORTHLESS, my ex roomate had one of those uni things they are queer beyond belief. Get a real seat with a real tube.

what the hell? stand up and ride. i used to ride my mod over to a freind's house over 3 miles away... try six miles on a mod- it sucks but guess what it helps you grow a pair :D

i stand all the time now that im used to not having a seat. even on bikes with plush ass saddles or whatever i end up standing all the time. i would much rather find like... a park bench... or.... the ground to sit on than a trials "saddle" and besides when you pedal standing up you will get stronger legs or something. racers do it- its called intervals. racers are good.

LOL, I guess I'm just lazy....I usually stood up all the time on my freeride, but it was nice when you were tired, you could sit and still cover some ground.......

Eh...I guess it's time to get used to it, LOL. The thing that really sucks about it though is when I wanna ride my bike to teh beach..I can't sit and ride while carrying my board......LOL, I guess I'm gonna have to start bumming my dads cruiser for that, LOL.
