michelin comp 24.1 2.2" /thread
Go to the search button at the top of this forum, enter 'rear tire' and read everything you can find.
General consensus this week is Michelin comp 24.1 2.2"
Best way to get info is search. Where is that post by Tanner "posting and you"? Wasnt that gonna be sticky?
for something that comes up at least twice a month, maybe it should be a sticky.
michelin comp 24.1 or comp 16. Waiting for my 16 to finish going bald so I can get another 24.1
Why do people use Hot-S in the front and not the back? It seems to grip like no tomorrow for me...
Is that a joke?
Horrendous grip, horrible casing. I can't even run one in the front anymore.
hot-s is the worst tire ever for the rear..i cant say much for vinco or belaey..but try and touch a rock wit ha hot-s that has less than 50 psi in it..and
Curious... everyone agrees, use the 2.2" in back and not the larger?
because for most people it is just unwanted weight. the hot s is poop if you ask me. vinco and kenny i thought were running something else in the back? maybe im wrong.
woooohooo i just ordered my first ever michelin 24.1 2.2
im so excited.
I haven't had much experiences with tires, ive ridden on monty and echo checkered tires (which are crap) and now I have a maxxis minon dhr super tacky 2.5, its very nice. Many others here run the same tire.
TRY ALL? Or echo!
If those 2 are your only options, try-all.
Hmm maybe I was reading something wrong...someone was swearing by the HOT-s...oh well I'll change it to the comp once this one breaks.
maxxis minion???? slow reazy
dunlop, 10 bucks from kmart :bigthumb:
Correct! These guys use a Comp 24.1 2.2" with a red compound.
Any Maxxis or Michelin downhill tire is okay for the rear.
But there are many alternatives to these two brands, basicly you can use every heavy tire with a soft compund.
