I've been working on my brake setup a bit. Always trying to find a little better setup. Up until today I used xtr brake cable housing. Buttery smooth and pretty damn stiff feel for running 4 continuous feet of it. I decided I'd give some shifter housing a try tho. Kicks ass. Even stiffer feeling than the xtr and doesn't feel too too bad. Not as smooth as the xtr but nothing is anyways and it feels better than some other brake housing I've used. Anyways. I was grabbing my levers and pulling as hard as I could and I could watch the bodies flex pretty good. They are the Avid Ultimate levers and are damn light and I'd guess that is to be expected. So I was thinking aboots possibly trying some other levers. Avid has a new one out called the FR something that is supposed to be made for cable disks. Anyone tried them out? Or has anyone got a favourite lever that they consider to be better feeling than everything else. The only catch is it can't be a shimano lever. Sorry for the long ass post but I figured I'd give an explanation for why I'm asking such a dumb question. So ya. Stiff levers???
