    Someone please help...

A part on my rear wheel, a circular piece that goes in between the hub and the dropout, shattered into 4 pieces and fell off today. I tried to ignore it but when I put the wheel on, the wheel wouldn't move!

I tried looking on webcyclery, the part can't be ordered there.

Does anybody know where I can get one of these... things?

    surely a washer would work?

is it not just a washer to space things out? is it possible that the wheel didn't move because it sat differently in the dropouts without the spacer and was rubbing up against the brake?

the brake mounts didn't have anything on them...

I don't think a washer will work, it has to spin, adding more metal won't change that.

nevermind.... I fixed it.... you were right, it was to space things out to keep the dropout from touching the tabs on the freewheel... I just added a washer

good thing is, my chainline is better after all that... haha
