What chain is better... what do you think...?!
why spend your money on the xtr chain when the xt level one is cheaper and stronger...?
Because there is an R, and billy broha XC fairyballs will think you are cool.
rohloff > *
why get the xt when the lx is cheaper and stronger :luke:
because its not stronger.
why even ride with a chain... its more gnar-core if you dont have one.
of all the 9sp chains i have ever run, i had the best luck with the new xt level shimano chain. the sram pc-99s are nice but not three times the price nice.
rohloff=best trials chain
Great write up of their pros and cons wimmeretz, really swayed my opinion there. Good to see you have shown us what kind of experiences you have had with the new shimano XT chain.
rohloff = best trials chain (mtb sizing) by all accounts.
wipperman = best trials chain (mtb sizing) by all my accounts which don't have large dollars
kmc kool chain = best trials chain STOP
the shimanos usually didn´t last longer than a few weeks and used to end up with injuries for me, but they are very good to shift - which is for trials as important as a salami for a car...
i didn´t break a rohloff(didn´t ride it longer than 3 months);
The brand new shimano chains you are talking about? Can we see a video of you putting in the fancy pin correctly?
i don´t make videos of such things - i save my DVs to film my burning cats;
i used the shimano-chains without the pin(always a weakness-point, except you use a rohloff revolver to close it) - i always closed them with the sram-thing(i think you know what i mean - i´m sorry, but i don´t know the english word for it)
Yeah those are the old shimano chains, the new ones have a special double length pin- different than other chains. So thanks for wasting our time.
(ah didn´t know that)
no problem, i´m always there for you...
