I currently have rear Deore Disc hub(FH-M475) and I'm thinking about building a new wheel with DT Alpine III spokes and Mavic D521 rim. Do you recommend to keep my current hub or to replace it with Planet X Monolith which costs about 20$ at their clearout.

no, i suggest you dont build the hweel, and you buy a real hub.

otherwise, the deore and the PX have about the same performance...so i would save the money still.

you dont need alpine III either, DB revo will work just fine

The King is out of my reach for at least a half a year. The thing is, I'm building myself a new bike. My first trials bike ever :yum: And the thing is I can't afford all new parts. I'll have to keep front wheel, fort brake, handlebar, saddle, etc. from my old bike. I'm going for a new frame, fork, headset, stem, bb, cranks, rear brake and would really like to fit new rear wheel into the equasion.
If Monolith and Deore have same performance I'd like to buy Monolith because Deore has seen some abuse and PX has more engagement.

for $20 id say it doesnt really matter what you do, as long as it makes you happy...
