Heehee...Megamo. I have your old bike...well, not YOUR old bike, but a Radical. It's nice to see variety, not the typical Koxx and Zoo! switches it up a little.

Nice bike mate, Megamos always look nice and seem a bit retro in a weird way.

a fine choice on the brakes sir- i seriously doubt those will start gushing cable out of the housing and calipers. nice rig.

How much does a frame like that go for? How long are the chainstays?

On a frame suited for Dual Disc, do you rec it over the HS 33 rear on a grinded rim?

That might be my next frame...not quite sure about dual disc though. You've got regular pads and they work out well?

the geometry isn't overly popular especially with riders on thsi board.

but it really depends on your riding style.
geo is pretty much as follows; 21.5"tt, 14.25" bb, 15.5"stays

i recommend dual disc over any setup actually. i don't have to touch my brakes at all. no tar no grind. i can ride through a puddle and not be scared if my brakes are gonna slip. and they give me great consistent power. but again it depends on your style. i dont' realy rely on my brakes too much and i don't like the super on or off feel of maguras with a grind. its either vbrakes or discs for me

Wait a Sec....doesn't that have the same Geo as a Radical but just have the disc tabs/reinforcements? I've searched EVERYWHERE and can't find the geo's on my bike....or ANY Megamo for that matter, LOL!

I was fooling around with some "trials"(rear wheel stalling is more like it) on a .243 and I had a Hope DH4 on the rear, pretty much a "dated" M4...but they felt the same to me....so the rear disc thing isn't that new to me in terms of feel, I'm just wondering how it'd feel on a REAL trials application of constant almost exclusive use, fade, etc....

When I get a new bike, do you rec I go this route?

hard to say. if your still learning chances are you will hit your disc...

nah ppl say its the same geo but they lie.
its very similar geo. except for the bb is an inch higher. which makes a pretty big frigin difference in terms of feel.

if you cant find your frame's geometry you can always find a ruler.

the megao equip pro i tried felt really nice. i thought it rode really well... just not the bike for me. lots of people are naysayers but a lot of the times they are ill-experienced naysayers.

And it's also a BIG difference from thier current rig. If I remember correctly, Andrew had to get used to his bike, and his initial 1st impressions, he didn't like....so it's a matter of acustomization I guess....

naysayers? ill-experienced? there arent any of those here mate.

that is ballsy going with teh avid mech front and back, also probably the best idea ever.

I really like the look of that bike, I guess I'll get a better look at the outdoor show.

I like the idea of the smaller frame with large stem, what length/angle is that stem?
