My Monty's are 29" I like em.....then again, I'm not that good, LOL! But they don't flex on me, I only weigh 155lbs, but I also try to do alot of stuff on my front wheel......they feel stiff...
Thanks. I think it was one of your posts that gave me the impression that they were 29". I hope you're correct because I just bought them from a friend. I'm certainly not concerned about them flexing...I know they're stiff because I checked them out on JJ's bike last year. I know the Try-All bars seem to be in vogue right now, but at my portly 200lb, I don't think they would suit me well. They remind me of the double wall Azonic bars, or a set of steel Huffy bars that I would have constantly rotate to accomodate for the bending. Hey, oicdn...I don't think you have enough length for your brake housing.
^^ well, atleast the box they came in telling me so makes me think they're 29inches, LOL. Cable housing...bah, you can never have too much. Seriously though, I'm just to lazy to cut and bleed them......I would have to order the "Magura blood" in order to bleed them....unless of course, that distilled water thing is really true, LOL.
god you people are retards. I'll stick with 27", as stated by Monty, web cyclery, AND MY FUCKING RULER.
Actually...nope.....I even went to webcyclery and it says You measure from tip to tip right? Straight accross, not along the bars? If I go along the bars I get like 33inches. No grips...just bar tip to tip I get 28 15/16.... Maybe I got a reject, my ruler is defunt or whatever, but it's 29" LOL!
i tried that monty flat bar out to see what kenny sees in it. but i couldn't stand it. i was ready to sell my whole bike cuz it felt so shitty. put the megaom bar back on and everythign was smooth sailing. but the few times i've ridden that monty riser it feels good.. things like rise and sweep can also play a part in how wide the bar feels compared to how wide it actually is
