I would like to try some mineral oil in my HS33, where could I buy some?
never mind, I just ordered a 55 gallon barrel of magura blood!sam
Are you serios? when would you need a 55 gallon drum of it? most bike shops probably buy it in smaller quantity's. and how much did it cost. it cant be cheap.
cheaper than crude.
yeah the royal blue stuff is about 10000x better than normal mineral oil.
I'm going to stick with there brand, royal blue is the thinner oil?
Baby oil works great and its dirt cheep
What is the viscosity of baby lube, no problems with seals further on down the road?
skid mark sam
I have some sort of scented mineral oil in my HS-33. I picked it up at a drugstore. It works. Maybe the braking action isn't as snappy as using water, but it certainly isn't holding my riding back. I haven't bled it in 4 years or so.
How much did 55 gallons run you :ugh:
royal blue is magura brand....
4 years and no seal problems, Wow!
I guess I'll try some.
Andrew, I do not understand this Magura blood thing at all, Does it come in different weights/colors?
Unfortunately my wife said no to ordering a 55 gallon jug of Magura brake blood, she took away my credit card! But not before I ordered my new Michelin 24.1/2.5 front and rear tires and Plaz pads.:bigthumb:
Yes....there are green/pink/blue ... Blue is the best one , and hte most available these days. Don't bother with mineral oil from the store....
y use mineral oil it feels horible how about using water it is a nicer feel and if u put some anti freeze it does not freeze for those cold outings.that is what i use and it has worked for me.y not try it?
You put anti-freeze in with the water to protect your seals, not to mention cold weather.
You were exaggerating when you said 55 gallons right?...Because you will only ever need like 1/8 of a gallon for your brakes.
