Can I fix it by just messing with the spokes? Would I need to use a hammer or something like this to make it straight? [/code]

i wouldnt bother- chances are even if you got it running true again the spoke tensions would be so imbalanced the wheel wouldnt last long anyways.
If you are super super super poor and absolutely HAVE to try something...I guess you could loosen all the spokes a ton, and try to bang the rim back, then retighten em...but the rim will probably shit out on you the second you hit it wrong/hard.
use a set of drawers, honestly. none of this "hitting" shit. although if you dont know how to do it then i guess its not a good idea. open the drawer and put the bit of the rim thats bent in, the way its bent facing up, then push the other side of the rim down - viola! it bent back!
