    Yo check my new frame

It's made by groundup designs, its made of steel, it has a 1045 wheel base, it weighs as much as a level boss mod long, and it is very rigid.

    Tell me what you think.

    :werd:

why the switch though? my xtp is like 1040, so ur level boss was probably around there? surely there is little difference between what you had and this! or is it because of the steel or head angle or bb drop or what?

...just curious as to why you changed!

aesthetically it doesn't look great, but if it rides well than thats al that matters

It still needs painted, I had to ride it at the nationals in durango and didn't have time to get it in, and it looks like that because its completely raw. I actually haven't measured the wheel base, my levelboss was supposed to be 1035 and I had this frame built about 3/4 to 1 inch longer so I guessed at the wheel base before, but it is very long compaired to the koxx. I switched because I was offered a good deal on the frame and was wanting something new and a little different.

Byron this frame was pretty expensive, all of groundups frames are different from the last one, they are completely custom so they cost more than the usual frame, but it will last me a long time and I feel it was a good choice.

why the wrap of the brake cable around the seat tube? why not just cut it shorter and zip tie to seat stay? surely it adds friction to the line.

It's a steel braided line. I don't think you can cut them. Maybe I'm wrong?

Yeah you can cut them but I have had it that way for about two and a half years and it works fine, when I put it on the first time I didn't know you could cut them so I got used to it

you get the lame art nouveau look AND get to keep the bums off the foreshore, that thing looks uncomfortable to sleep on.

Well now that the pics are gone, and this is an old thread.

This bike is FUCKING SICK. I HATE MODS!!! But.... This is the first bike mod or stock that I hopped on and felt completely at home . Gaps to nose ..on and on...

Yes it's definately more stiff that the LB mod.

Well worth the $1,000,000 usd price tag.
