someone once said those europeans had good idea with a thread like this: no excuses or fancy editing needed, and keep it short please.

I'll start with this iphone clip my sister sent me today (of yesterdays riding) https://youtu.be/2PjTO5g8gUI

Great thread. Here's a little clip... Today I realized that I've gapped to front/wheelswapped objects of all angles except up slopes, so I gave it a shot. https://youtu.be/4Kc3BtuBYTk

You didn't do it the other way, gapping from a downhill is fun times.

You only front wheel gapped to the left. You said you hadn't tried front wheel gaps with slopes, try your rear wheel on the downhill and gapping to front from that.

Oh, I didn't realize you meant to front both ways. I'll give that a shot!

I wanna get down on some of this thread.....looks like it could use more videos anyway....here's my 1m30s of the same move.

This thread did kinda inspire me to try and capture at least one good min of riding every time I go out so that might be fun....hope to find some more interesting stuff for the next post. I just gotta find my camera...used my shitty cell phone for these. Sorry.

    Tim-E,
Looks like a nice spot. Backyard?

    Josh,
Still jealous of your local spots...

For some reason picnic benches scared me... Made it today because I actually tried...

I've got a 10x10 area behind my office/workshop that is on a slight slant in a very busy parking lot. Not the ideal spot, but it works for warmups and stretching, but not loads of fun.
I never meant for it to last as long as it has.....my old back yard was the jam though.....https://imgur.com/n1D1w9m....it doesn't even show the dirt jump or the technical skills area.....

you ever try doing a 1/2-3/4 pedal stroke, like a full pedal up, instead of just the 1/4 stroke to really get the power/momentum going?

Uhg, Yeah I need to work on that. It's holding me back... For some reason I have a really hard time with timing. I just need to pick a curb and practice over and over. Any suggestions?

its more like a 3/4 stroke....start with your bad foot forward and it should be about 15-20 deg. above horizontal, just as you pedal forward, lean towards the bars and compress, when your good foot comes around, you should be near the peak of your "wheelie" if you will....then a lil kick and the shoulder/back muscles go to work, and you're up on top of some shit! Good luck.

Here's my 1min clip o the day....my warm-up in my backyard. Not really feeling that good today, lots of soreness and injuries all over from too much work and play but might try and have some fun later on and see if there's something worth filming. Thinking/Hoping that these obstacles merely look small next to my massive gut....looks respectably big in person, but the video tells a different story![ame="https://vimeo.com/160913320"] https://vimeo.com/160913320[/ame]

Hm, that gives me another way to think about it. I'll give it a go. Thanks for the thoughts!

thanks man. I don't usually film my riding and seeing this footage really makes me wanna start hitting some weights again.
I've always noticed some small improvements in control and comfort after a week or two of some 20-35lb kettle bell exercises.....but its so damn boring....
