I found this frame and fork that I’m interested in buying but I have had no luck finding any info on it whatsoever. It’s a megamo equip pro mod. Frame and fork are both setup for disc brakes. Is it really so rare that there’s nothing mentioned about it anywhere or was it so bad that it didn’t last long?
If you can't find any info on it, you will probably have no support nor the ability for replacement if necessary. If you don't care about any of that then go for it.
This was a dream bike for a lot of people way back when (I think 99-2000 maybe?). It was a great bike for what it was, but you'll find the geometry will be very different to modern 20" bikes.
It will have longer chainstays and shorter wheelbase, more like a bike than the pogo stick style these days.
Disc frames from this era were notorious for cracking at the disc tabs, but I think the Megamos did quite well from memory.
Search this forum and you should get plenty of old info. You'll probably have much better luck and get better info on trialsforum.co.uk as this was a European bike and their community is way more active.
