Opinions on a capable hardtail...

So I have a Van Dessel WTF that I use as a monster cross bike. I put 2.1's on there (with the wide Stan's they have the width of a 2.4 but I have almost no clearance), keep the drop bars on and just blast through the woods. I absolutely love it....love it to death...it's so visceral being fully rigid with drop bars bombing down heavy trails.

However, I want something that is a little more dedicated? If I could describe it best, a low travel enduro hardtail....like a trail bike, but one with more clearance and doesn't handle like a fucking truck. The WTF handles so good but doesn't have enough clearance with wide tires. I need it to climb like my WTF, but I want to have SOME suspension up front (I don't need 160 mm, at most 120 mm, more like 100 mm) with a little more clearance. XC bikes don't have the clearance, DJ bikes don't have the seat tube to actually sit and pedal and trail bike typically have shit geometry that handle like fucking trucks. Moots Mooto X and Farwell seem like they have great geo AND clearance....anybody try those out?

What do you guys recommend?

What Dr N means is those aren't hard tails... you just named trials bikes. Please read the OP carefully and research any words that you don't understand.

I can speak for myself. What I meant is that he has the reading comprehension skills of a 6 year and his "help" is worthless at best, harmful at worst. Or maybe I'm just getting played like a lyre.

I have no idea if kids these days are really this dumb or if you're an AE but either way I appreciate the distraction from my soul-crushing job. Keep it up.

So your desire to see one in person qualifies you to state that it is the "greatest hardtail on planet earth."

Got it.

When I met Boots he was riding a full suspension trials bike. Well actually it had a rigid fork. Also I almost threw up.
