Question Running Hope Tech 3 Trial Zone upside down?

Buying a bike with moto style brakes...

Thoughts on running this brake upside down? Bad idea? No big deal?

I had hopes it was flippable on the bike I just picked up too that was moto, but found the lever had that external reservoir still so no good for flipping with the hole for the line so close to the bottom that could let in air. Maybe you'd get lucky with a pefect top off? Or if you've got em front and rear you can do what I ended up doing after a quick chat with Mark at Tarty (when I was picking up a new one for the rear to match) and swapping the lines at the lever. If you're careful they shouldn't need a bleed. A top off and burp at worst.

Having the diaphragm upside down/at the bottom of the reservoir isn't ideal - as said above, swapping the hoses at the lever is the way to go (assuming you've got a pair of Tech 3s).

Thanks for replies.

Unfortunately I'm unable to just flip the levers... Rear is a magura with left hand lever.

looks like I'l be throwing my old trial zone on until I can get a tech 3 lever swap out.

They work upside down, it's just long term it's not ideal. Hence the flip-flop original Tech lever having two diaphragms, so one is always at the top.
