NATS Comp attendance feeler??

Hello all,

I posted this here instead of the comp forum b/c I know I dont allways pay close attention to the post in the ole comp forum...

I'm in the process of working out having "the" Belles Isle comp in conjuction with the Nissan Xterra races that are held at Belle Isle/Browns Island on June 14-15th. Regardless this comp will be hald at some point this year!!!

I'm also considering the carrying of the torch for setting up the BigBear comp in WV on June 7-8th and good ole' Racoon Rally in NY on June 28-29th.

If this is the case we will have a NATS comp every two weeks in the month of June . This could be good or bad and thats why I'm trying to get a rough idea of who may be able to attend each event.

I figure the entry fee will be in the $30-$35 range and I'm trying to set up a brief clinic at each venue with the help on one or two Pro/Expert riders....

So feel free to let me know which event you think you can get to.....I know things come up but please only post if your pretty sure you can come.....thanks, now go freeze your ass off riding in the cold!!!

RT

West coast perspective:

I would maybe consider coming out if one of the events seems popular enough, but there's no way in hell i'd fly across the country three times in one month for trials comps.

Suggestions......how many riders will we be missing b/c of this? That date is not set in stone.....I'd love to get the exposure from the xterra games though.......I still have to work some things out with the promoters first.

Man, this job sounds like it has you strapped down a litter tighter than before...

Per Belle Comp:
The worlds date changes every year. It might be in the best interest of the event to cooridinate with this Nissan deal and just suck it up and deal with fewer pros attending this year...

Though I'd also like to mention that it can be hot in June and I was thinking that May might be a better time of year. Just some things to think about...

NATS is not officially using UCI rules, but 3 of the events I went to last year ran UCI for at least Pros. Maybe expert too...

If I can I will be riding in all of them. If not I will certainly help.
This year if we do a comp. durring Xterra, let's not do a Demo the same day, maybe the day beore or after.
I like the idea of having lot's of comp's around the same time.
I'll help all can! Way to step up!

I agree that being part of the xtera games is a good thing, and ditto on the demo thing.

As long as they're on weekends, and those weekends don't have work days on them, I will come to all

yeah, I'll def do the demo thing on a seperate day.....that a whole other topic though

Again, I'm weighing a large portion of my descision based on the responses I see here.........It may end up that I(we...) do just the Belle Isle comp or Just Belle and Racoon???

I would love to do all three...but we'll give this post some time and see what happens.......what ever comps I(we) do hold, they will be nothing short of great!!

Big bear was mainly in the woods, so it was much cooler.

KEEP BIG BEAR!!
I'll be at all of them and help as much as I can... just let me know!

And yeah, definately have the demo be a different day, and maybe this time we can plan it out some more.

I'm interested in all of the comps, however, if they are too close together It will be really tight with money for me and I might not be able to attend as many as I would like.

On a side note - I am in the middle of trying to get permission for a comp at St. Peter's Village here in PA. Once I get the go ahead, I was hoping that someone might be able to help me out with a few things since I never ran a comp before.
