Yup...We had one at the shop with a huge hole in it. I cut it up to see and it's just in the sidewalls.

That's dumb. I think the "supergravity" tires have it over the whole casing.

Anywho. Andy... how is the Baron projekt working for you? Flimsy? Going to order my fat but some new tires, but probably going with the straight up DK.

I couldn't say as I've only ridden it for 5 minutes on flat ground with a single pallet... Will put up reviews when I can shred again.

Baron project = ok, flimsy on very off camber stuff... and I'm a light person.

Der Kaiser is a total winner, especially if you are big.

do you, or anyone else, know what the durometer rating of either are?

I think most people are no longer fans of maxxis for pure trials, try to get the lowest duro they offer... they have numbers of different tires from the same name with different duro, continental dot com probably has it

If you get a Der Kaiser, get the DH casing. It is most stable, and grippy tire I've tried. The only problem is if you are worried about weight.

Der Kaiser Project or Der Baron Project. Not as stiff as the OG but stiffer than a Try All Lite, which Ive been happy with as well. Or Schwalbe Super Gravity is great also!
