Exclamation Should I buy a practicllay new but used monty 219 alp?

There is a Monty 219 Alp mod bike that looks like it has never been ridden. it is used but shows no signs of wear and tear. Im pretty sure the owner will sell it because it ha been at the shop for almost 2 months now. Since they are about $350 or $400 new, then i think the price would be around $300 give or take. Ive been trying to do trials on my hardtail, that has been converted to singlespeed and i have put a short seatpost on it. It works for just playing around but i want to really get into trials riding. I was just wonering if i should start with an inexpensive mod bike like the monty.

Buy it up if you get a good deal. Awesome beginning bikes I hear.

Ill second that. Where are you from? The price may be a bit high, so wait a bit if you can.

When I started riding, I went from a Specialized Rockhopper (which i tried to convert trials, haha) to an Echo ES2. The Echo was tricked out in seriously the finest stuff. I think I was kind of pampered with that bike, considering my abilities. Also, riding a stock bike to learn on was a good experience, but I think I would have progressed faster if I went from my mountain bike to a mod. I ride stock now, but I'd recommend starting out with a mod. Wait for the price to come down a little, and do your best at haggling.
