I'm a moron, I know. But, in the boonies north of Tyler TX, it is not like I can actually go look at a bike somewhere; so when I buy, it will have to be sight unseen.
Do these trials bikes have "gears" in the traditional way; can change gears? Or, is it one gear that can be altered only be sprocket change?
Do these bikes "free-wheel" when you pedal backward? Or, is it like a kids bike where the rear tire locks up?
The sizes of 20" 24" 26" mod stock is a bit foreign. I am 5'4" at 145 lbs; what size should I start to look at? The riding I plan to do will be more woods, trees, trail type stuff; very little urban.
Thanks so much for your time. If there is anyone in the Tyler, TX area, I would love to simply see a bike to get a feel for size, and maybe watch someone for a few minutes. I am going to the bike shop in Tyler this week, but doubt I will have much luck seeing a trial.
