Big thanks to Bunta, who hooked me up with a whole new setup after i broke my frame, so I can ride again. New bike feels a whole lot stiffer and more stable. Matt, put me back on the invite list plz!

I have been busy these past few weeks so I haven't been sure of ride times until the night before. This next weekend doesn't look good either.

Good deal, Matt. October weekends seem to be pretty booked for me as well, but after that I'm wide open.
Does anyone know of a pair of cam (snail) tensioners for a 10mm axle for sale locally? If not, I will order some from the internets. Does Trials Pads not sell any, or am I just not seeing them?

Not sure about anyone having them local.
As for Trials Pads I would email Aki and ask him if he has any. If he doesn't he probably can get them quickly for you. He is awesome to deal with and responds very quickly.
Yeah October is super busy for me as well so i will let you know once I am free. You can also text or call any time you want to ride and I can let you know what is going on.

I ride in Rosslyn's Gatweway Park on weeknights, it has some good beginner-friendly features. I would not mind coming out to Alexandria for a ride and checking out some riding spots there.

Snapped my chain for the second time yesterday, I think it's time to upgrade to something beefier. Maybe the old half-link chain off my DJ will do better.
On the positive side, my pogo stick skills are getting much better. I found that dropping the rear tire pressure to levels unsafe for any other type of riding helps with the stability, and adding a small hop at the end of the initial stroke helps with starting the rhythm.

Went out for a mini ride with 8link yesterday evening at Gateway, he is catching on pretty quick, got his rear wheel hops down in a couple of hours! I think with a couple small upgrades to the bike and some practice he'll be doing allright

The mini ride at Gateway was tons of fun. Thanks much for the rear hop tips, it felt great to roll away from that ride feeling like I picked up something new.
I'm working on the bike and looking forward to the next ride!

Ive got an old style magura, but its a left hand for rear, leaks around the lever some but still works fine, Ill throw it in my car
We should ride sunday this week, im going to philly saturday,
weather is kinda looking shit though
Ill bring that stem too bruce

Do you DC guys have regular group rides?
I'm being forced to give my Ashton to my brother(wife says I need to share) to make room for my new Born. So I'll be delivering it to him in DC in May/June. Just hoping I can ride with a group while I'm there.

Tomorrow is Bike to Work day, and couple of years ago they apparently had a trials demo at the Rosslyn Gateway Park station. Does anyone know if it's the case this year? THe event description only said something about unicycles, but it was very brief
