i need those cranks :) Nice looking ride. Similar to mine but far less abused. I should get some PVC protectors or something.

thats the second or something bike i've seen with 3 grips (1 cut in half i assume) well forget it, just use a odi clamp, works better...and looks better imo.

what derailleur is that and did you have to do anything to it to get that kmc kool through it. i have a lame-o narrow cage derailleur that a kool is too fatty for. i was thinking about going to the hardware store and getting some longer bolts to space it out with.

did you steal alex's bike?

sebLG
11-23-2004, 03:01 AM
yes i stole is and then painted it again and put new bars and a new stem and new brakes and a new headset nd new hubs and new rims and a new bashguard and a new chain and new tires and a new booster on .... i live in canberra so we are bound to suggest part options to eachother like in colorado, and he deals them aswell. stupid questions piss me off.

doctorT what dereileur are you using? im using a cheap-ass, not working at all, broken sora road dereilleur. kmc fits fine. or maybe its beause im using the MTB version of the KMC Kool chain i think. not too sure, sorry.

yeah, I have the KMC Kool chain, it is beastly, I had to put washes in my singulator thing for it so the chain could go through

If you use grips that are the same colour, it looks fine, just use an old used one so you dont have to buy a set of grips, also some people find odi's to be too thick (like me).

he means just using the clamp to stop the try all grip from moving into the bar
not using the actual loc on grip

Gripping your bars as close to the levers as possible is good for riding fast. ODI lockon clamps only come with odi lockons, odi lockons are $39238. They are also way to heavy. (Joke)

i bet u did that grip thing right after i left. No stealing of any actual physical item, just intellectual property :P haha looks nice. I used 1 white 1 black Soyo with different coloured grip bits in the middle. Lucky no one saw it

Joel- will talk riding when you get back. Have a proposition that may interest you.

trialsin USA sells middleburn cranks with the trials spider/bash as pictured on Alex's bike in the other thread in ISIS ($275) and square taper ($250). Webcyclery sells the ISIS version (not including chainring?) for $259. Square taper version $229.

US dollars of course. Lifetime warranty for everything, and the crankarms can be used with more spiders than you'd ever need.
