Ive heard that WI ENO trials freewheel arent really that good. kolped has one and it has broken. i belive they are hyped. my mate rode with a 36 eng shitmano freewheel with stronger spring and lube. dident skip once

To be very honest, Ive tried both the king and the wi freewheel. The wi is not just like having a king hub. It comes close to having the same engagement, but when you actually put power down, I can tell that there is a good deal more flex with the wi freewheel. I'm not trying to say its a bad product. Just that it is an average solution when you compare it to a king hub.

Also it having 6 pawls that engage simultaneoulsy. I have no idea what thats about. I know its been explained a few dozen times on this board, but 6 pawls engaging simultaneuously does not equal 72 engagement points.

Enough said. Acs freewheels work great for vincent, wi freewheels are a step up, but they do not compare to a king.

I've had bad luck with ACS freewheels... I seriously trash one every 4 or 5 rides. I've gone through at least 6 of them since having my FF cranks on my stock. When I used to have a monty mod, when I got an ACS it was a huge step up from whatever Monty had stocked. I don't know why I have such bad luck with them now...
But, engagements are solid, and there's enough. Better than the Hope XC I was using before this... still not as good as a King...

Being new my ACS skipped frequently. Two or three times I was sure of it to be trashed. But now it works better then ever without any skipping. IMO 36 engagement points are more then enouqh.
I put some loctite on the lockring so that it can't become unscrewed.

btw: I saw lots of wi skipping as well (both eno and eno trial)

My eno trial skips every now and then, but its not too bad, im still getting a king though (only because i broke my lame echo hub).

shitmano freewheels have 20 points, not 36.

Just curious, you king users...I am sure many of you dont have kings actual ring drive lub...what kind of oil do you use in your hubs? I read some where 10w motor oil works alright, which is what I am using. I was just curious, I dont mean to jack the thread.

couple drops of tri-flow. degreased it and tri-flowed it, works awesome now, hasnt skipped once and its loud as fuck.

yeah tri-flow works well. I use a cheap, clear, synthetic 10w oil and it's good too. Lasts a little longer than the triflow as it's slightly thicker.

All the enos that I've ridden skip constantly. But they are tiny little skips. Like missing one of 72 points type thing. But it still sketches me out. ACS work fine on a mod. Although they seem to be hit and miss for breaking

I'm running the WI eno freewheel. I got it pretty much because I wanted new cranks, hub and more engagement for less than a King.

It isn't as good as a King by far.. but hell, It's better than a Shitmano LX. No problems with skipping until I bent my BB.
