Issues is the "nice" way to put it. The site is so ghetto that it finally got caught up to us. The forum disappeared. If anyones seen it please email:

Will do but I'm pretty sure that isn't the problem. The jist of it is we have 3 different parts of the site running on 3 different servers. None of them we actually pay for, all really nice people helping us out. The forum server went missing I guess.

if you ever do find your forum server. do you think someone could resend me an activation email or just plain activate my account? the activation email that i received had some sort of small virus or something in it cuz it redirected me to some search site so i couldnt activate my account.

and to add to the topic, i think its great that you guys are trying to keep up a place for the canadian trials scene can keep in touch with each other! i really hope you can get things sorted out there.

All the goofy email addresses will actually work too. I used to put them out all the time when I first got the site, but not in a long long time.

Haha. As long as we have Matt hosting our photo gallery we should be pretty safe in that part. Hopefully in a week or so we will be back to normal with some improvements I hope.

proves that the forum is still there, so its not really missing, just a little screwed up, if you have access to the files, your best bet is to visit http://www.phpbb.com/ and download the newest version, saving all the forum files from the server and just replacing the ones that make the board run. Something else to check is if the servers security settings have been altered, phpbb2 requires te abilitly to write and read files and may need the abilitly to execute some files.....the unfortunate thing with PHP based programs is the errors are very vague, ASP will give you the exact line of the exact file thats causing the issue.....but good luck w/ it

Daniel, no. The thread information, all user information... everything essentially will be stored in a MySQL database. The files xxxfr is referring to are just there to set up the layout of the forums, the page looks, and the way the forum interacts with the database.

xxxfr, as far as I know, they have no access to the actual server itself, via ftp or ssh. They can not check or replace files as necessary, they can not chmod or chown directories. Also, the error reporting isn't a problem with php, its a problem with that particular error in phpbb.

He said he also hasn't contact mtbkanata yet, so he's not sure whats going on :hs:.

Its not really a money thing. Its actually something that should have been put in place a lot earlier. Shit pretty much hit the fan at possibly the worst time. We were running off 3 servers, none of which we pay for. It was appreciated, but not the desired way to go.

Right now its just a time thing. Everyone is pretty busy. I am almost positive Morley has enough hook ups for all the technical stuff. There will probably be something one day to help cover the costs of a server and what not. T shirts again? Something else?

So ya. Just sit tight for the time being and as I know more I will post it here.

Not entirely sure. I had it sit for a long time with nothing at all there. Then one day it said biketrials.ca coming soon and had a giant pic of Metchosin Joe's face. I tried to find that pic so we could put it back to that. I thought it would be funny for those that had been there since even before the beginning. Then it sat like that until Morley took over. Morley might have a better idea as far as dates.
