I thought i'd make a post here with my contact details and some information so that people new to trials in Australia have a point of reference.
www.austrials.com (http://www.austrials.com/) was once quite an informative board, but has since become obsolete apart from organising some rides and cracking jokes. Visit the message board for a laugh, but dont take anything on there as gospel.
www.biketrialsaustralia.com (http://www.biketrialsaustralia.com/) is the most up to date and informative site on competitions within Australia at the moment. Brett and Rod Smith (Rod is President of the Victorian Biketrials Association) import Koxx, Zoo, GU, Adamant, and Echo bikes and do some really great stuff in terms of demos and help with parts. You can also contact them at info@biketrialsaustralia.com .
I'm usually at most competitions, and am happy to have a chat about rules, bikes or beer.
If you need help with anything, including advice on the best bike shop to visit for help ;) , drop me an email at tobe@observedtrials.net or send me a PM and i'll do my best to help you out. Alternatively, give me a call on 0422 904 028.
Cheers,
Toby Rushford.
