every hub sold in new zealand was broken pretty damn quick. overpriced, weak metal, horrible manufacture.
shimano hub with a piece of wire wrapped around the cassette/spokes to lock it > echo hub
this is the fixed hub you're talking about, right?

It is a hub, that does not have a freewheel with a ratcheting mechanism, so it's fixed. It can't move, you need to use a front freewheel with them. Zip tie your cassette to the spokes, that's what a fixed hub would be.

and the chain moves together with the hub then you move forward?

and how i can zip cassette to the spokes?
Roman didn't mean for you to literally zip tie your cassette to the spokes, he meant that if you did, that is what a fixed hub would be like. If you have a fixed hub and no front freewheel, spinning your cranks backwards will drive the bike in reverse, the cassette is not free to spin like on a normal hub.

If you want to run front freewheel, you could also fix your hub instead of buying an overpriced Echo hub.
Just weld it and you have a fixed rear hub.

Listen to Felix. Fixing your hub, or getting a cheap one such as an Alivio, Deore, whatever, is a MUCH better option than buying any of the "fancy" fixed hubs. Good call Felix :).
