Yes, depending on the size of the drill.

lol what do you think about drilling the brake surface? itd be funny if my rim sidewalls collapsed.... or not.

he means on the front...because it would be best to use a disk brake on the front anyways.

running rim brakes on a drilled rim sidewall would be awesome
like a disc brake.. it would work in the wet? :Sonic:

hmmm....maybe grind and drill......interesting.....just think tho..all those dents, would be cracked out chunks lol

kirby, since your just starting out, it might be best to have full rim strength. just run the rim for a month or two and see how well it holds up. if your wheel stays in true, than give drilling a shot. ask bruce about it, im sure he has some good advice.

Matt Staples runs a drilled sidewall Koxx rim on the front, with a Maggie. Seems to work well...
