Hi,
I wonder which technique is best to learn??? And WHY its better??? Which can you get higher with??
1. Rolling towards the obstacle with youre bad foot and then pick up speed with the bad and then lift the front with youre good???
2. Rolling with youre good foot in the front, do ½ pedalstroke and lift youre front with youre bad foot and then kick when youre good foot comes, and jump????
I hope you understand what I mean...

for starting out, learn to lift the front with your bad foot and smoothly transition it so that your good foot is in front when your jumping.
so that'd be #2
number 2 is what I learned.

The best is not to roll, but to trackstand about a bikelength away, then push with the good foot, bad foot, front starts going up with the bad foot, and then jump from the good foot.

Generally speaking, it's more in the body than it is in the revolution and the kick. i see TRA doing full pedal (360) and getting amazing height and I see others doing hte same but getting no where near as much. There's also tapping. Learn both and see how you like it, if you do comps and stuff, you might find that you need to know both. I think it's the second that gives you the heighest...

Hi
I find that for smaller stuff it is easyer to use the first techneque and for bigger stuff use the second.
The first one is good for when you are a short distance away because the use of the bad foot gives you a bit of speed then ,you can boost it up with your good foot.
Also for the bigger stuff i bunk it with my front wheel just to give me that extra boost, but it is always good to master the basics first.
Hope this helps

I use #2, its the best option, get used 2 making your pedals go through motions and feel comfortable, basicly get used 2 using both feet for transitions
