View Full Version : How Much $$?
I am just curious as to how much money you guys think you have spent on your CURRENT bike or bikes. I have probably spent around $1300 on mine.

4-8 million dollars.
edit: seriously? ... over 10,000 us in the last 6 years (not just trials). I've also sold lots of it so I have no idea how I make out.

On my current bike: about $1700.00-$1800.00us. and thats no includeing the crash replacments on 3 other monty's, Rims avg. $50.00 ea. Tyres (a fucking lot) and the never ending purchase of chains and inner tubes (priceless).
but this is it, if the Koxx 20" breaks, i am out (unless i find a really really good deal on another).

A couple thousand on my bikes, which include a stock and mod, downhill, two road bikes, singelspeed, and soon to be cyclocross.
Little over $1,300 on my current bike, but I really don't want to know how much it's been in the last 5 or so years (thank god I'm not racing DH anymore).

Almost $2500.00 into current bike at full retail pricing........................................... .................................................. ...................................Good thing I've got a lot of friends in high places;)..Damn retail would suck!!
Oh, yeah when people ask me how much, I usually tell them that I built it and most stuff was just laying around the shop. I'm not trying to get a gun pointed at me for my ride

I say $1000 when people ask me on the street.
I say around $900 when people ask me. I dont need to hear their criticism on a subject they know nothing about. Besides, what they dont know cannot hurt them.

My bike would be about $1995 but I did not pay retail for a single thing on it. I have spent about 700-900 out of my pocket.
Probably about 2500 on bike i have now, thats everything, tubes and all repairs...

I added up all the bike money I'd spent over the years, the majority on trials stuff, it came to around $15,000au last year. Got $600 of stuff from webcyclery since then...and a road bike.

the real question which should be asked - how much more money are you prepared to spend to get the bike fleet you want? I've got another 3 or 4 bikes that I NEED to build up...I've so been dreaming about a 53/18 fixed gear to go with my commuter rage. 1st comes the whippet XC hardtail, the long mod, the street/DJ SS rigid though, let's be realistic about fun factors here.
