OK so does anyone know how this person put this downtube protector on. I would want to make a similar one. I know what the alluminum is but how did they stick it on? here is the picture.

The picture doesn't work, but adhesive velcro works dandy. Double sided tape, like carpet tape works too, but velcro lets you take it off etc.

search for "downtube protector" there's a thread that has a link to those protectors - made by go-fast or something like that. They come with adhesive.

Get a peice of PVC pipe and cut it using a hack saw or pwer tool if you have it and then get some zip ties to keep it on. Make shure you put something soft between the frame and the peice of pipe.

Or you could go to home depot and get a sheet of optix or duraplex plexi glass for $10. Thats what I did, but my frame also has a square down tube.

I just welded a piece of pvc to mine, its very strong as the weld is super good bond
