The first 2 - 3 threads feel very slightly bent inward. i feel like taking a dremel to the thing, but i'd like to hear some other opinions first.

Your bb shell is damaged/dented badly. Assuming the frame is aluminum,it may be unrepairable. Your bb may still go in, if so, you can probably chase the threads.

I would just try and bang it out to as close as possible then just run the bb in.
