I'm looking to get a new front wheel so that i can run a bigger tire upfront with less pressure to help my wrists out a little bit. I'm currently using my xc front wheel anyways, so i have to get something.

my question is, what would you recommend? i am leaning toward a disc hub because i eventually want to get an avid mech, but not in the near future. And i want something decently wide and not so heavy. I hear rhyno lites are popular. How about the xl version?

Thanks!

The Rhyno lite XL's are pretty good, but my opinion is an ALEX DM24. It's a little wider than a rhyno, but not heavy. I weigh a bit more than average, and my Alex is holding up great, the side walls are also a little thicker in case you want to run a grind, I like it for the extra dent and ding resistance they provide as well. Also, they're pretty cheap too, like $25 american I think at retail.

How about the tioga DH rim?
