Gday, Im doing some research for the plaz man as he is looking at making some decent 4-Bolt - Vee Adaptors. I was wondering if people could measure the distance between the bolts for the brakes, if you know what i mean, as he is looking at having an integrated booster which runs underneath the brake.
The measurements he needs are:
A - Distance Between Top Bolts
B - Distance Between Bottom Bolts
C - Diaganal Distance ( Used as a cross reference check)
Below is a shitty diagram of what i mean.

Give me a shout and I'll let you have a look at the drawings of my home-made ones.. Two piece, very solid and quite easy to make...

edit, btw, its not the ones in my avatar. Those are the first i made.

A, B: 102mm
C: ~112mm
Identity sort of has one going, and I know a rider who is using it on a PX Tibo, so they both have the same spacing.

Don't the bikes have different dimensions depending on which manufacturer makes them? Or, are all of the bikes with four bolt mounts the same? I thought they were different.

surely that's part of the purpose of this survey - to find out the answers to your questions (bwagner).

he's what we call a "college kid" which means he's in year 12 (I think). Here College != University. High schooler to you.

those look totally farken shweeeeetttttt :hsugh: ... but i already have v-mounts :wiggle: ... and you could run like 3 seperate boosters on that thing, plus the booster shape of the actual thing. lol. im a dickhead. :wuteva:
I agree, that is by far the nicest looking 4bolt -> 2bolt conversion I've ever seen.

Well i havnt seen that before, i like how adjustable up/down it is. It is what i meant when i said integrated booster which is why the length from side to side is a problem.
Is there any one out there with a monty or somthing different? Brisa? whatever...

you could take that awesome adaptor, and cut the top off so you just have the two sides = perfect magura > vee adaptor for all bikes.

Speaking of off the shelf adaptors, who besides woodman and identity make them?

"you could take that awesome adaptor, and cut the top off so you just have the two sides = perfect magura > vee adaptor for all bikes."
That sounds like the best idea to me, then you could just use the standard magura booster on top and a regular vee booster if your into overkill (as I am)
I dont have my monty frame right now, but it was at the very limit of the magura booster if that helps
