They will prob warranty these frames, the newer Zebdis i belive have warrantys for the disk tabs (Mk5 and maybe Mk4)

i definatly like the blue, i wanted it for my zebdi, but no such luck

anyway about the warrenty, PX has changed the warrenty big time....let me find it, ill post back

I dont know about the tibo but the zebdis disc tabs are NOT covered under the warrenty, and never have been to my knowledge.

I dont believe PX has EVER warrantied for disc tabs...and be careful if you break your frame. the guys at PX US were total douches to me last time.

planetX Australia's policy with cracked frames (back in the day of 2 year unconditional warranties anyway) was to delay the process, sending a frame back and forth, denying that it was cracked, I'd send it back with a circle drawn around the crack, they'd send it back saying it was a "paint flaw", I'd get a licensed and registered metal worker to sign a certificate to the effect that "this frame is cracked, it is unsafe to use, it is caused by an incomplete weld at the BB/down tube junction", they'd send it back with a letter openly accusing me (the customer) of lying and attempting to steal from them. etc etc until the two years from purchase period had expired, and they didn't have to worry anymore. If anyone in Australia ever wants a PX, I strongly strongly recommend getting it online from the US or UK.

but anyway, I think they stopped giving warranties for busted disc tabs (or failures ASSOCIATED with rear disc brake use) after about the mk2 or mk3 release.

You should write a review on them because I haven't seen too much and I'm kinda interested.

Yeah...Did't they USED to have an unconditional lifetime warranty, so many of them broke, then they blamed it on "dishonest people"...what douches....

times I've agreed with OICD: 1.

yes - douches. I don't know why they didn't fix the problems with their frames after they became apparent. Nor do I know why they persist with aesthetic gussets in critical areas, multiplying the places of possible failure.

... Trying to understand that new policy here... does the following quote mean that if I have a pre Feb 03 frame, I can drive over it with my car and get a FREE replacement? I've got a JFurban and would like a Tibo :D

"and if you drop it off a flight or stairs or drive over it in your car, you can have a new frame for 60% of the original retail cost."

They never had that. The warranty was for two years. PX claimed that too many people broke the bike on purpose just under the two year mark to get a new one.

There is a 40mm difference between these bikes in wheelbase. 1050 vs 1090. So it all depends on what sort of length suits your style of riding.

For me, I'm not that tall and I don't really want a bike that's too long. (though I did spend a half second on a cous and was surprised that it didnt' feel as long as I would have expected) My concern is the BB height. I can't really answer your question but I'm sure the tibo isn't going to be bad. Just whether it will be best for you.... :dunno:
