Bay area guys... anyone up for a ride Monday afternoon? I have to see a patient in the morning in the clinic, but then I'm done at lunch so I'm itching to ride.

Wife says I can use the car so I can drive (and probably even drag SF Paul along) so possibilities do include Stanford (I had to put that in just because I know it will get mentioned) but I don't want to head any further south than that.

So what do people say? SF ride in Golden Gate Park, Stanford, some rocks by the ocean? Reply and I'll check this again tomorrow. It would probably help if people PM me with some cell phone numbers, but I'll leave that up to you....

I talked to Paul and he's down for riding at Stanford so let's make it easy and say Stanford at 2pm on Monday.

Andreas, you know the campus alot better than me so if you post a place to meet we can go from there.

I also programmed your number and Doug's into my phone so we can get a hold of you if we get screwed coming out of town with traffic or something.

See you monday.

cool, i havve paul's and your number, so we should be set.

hoover tower is the easiest place to meet for those who don't know stanford too well. to get there enter campus from anywhere. just look up into the sky and look for a huge tower sticking up, that's the one. it should have a dome shaped top or something. in front of the tower is a water fountain. it's very hard to miss, in fact, it's impossible to miss. meeting there at 2 o clock is good for me.

Hey guys, this is screwed but I will not be able to make it to the ride as my car is in the shop. Stupid bike rider here in SF rammed my car and the car has to sit in the shop today so the insurance guy can look at it.

Since I can't make it, I'd guess Paul can't make it either as I was his ride, but I haven't called him yet. Sorry about all this... If only people would learn how to handle their bikes!

ever considered the train station? it takes off at 4th and king and takes you direct to stanford (or palo alto as the train man will say). should take abouts 1 hr only. once you're there you can just spot the hoover tower and head on over! i hope you can make it

(i guess the wife isn't going to let YOU use the car any more! ;)

The car is back so we're back on! Sorry for the retardedness, but we will be coming down (if I can get ahold of Paul). Should be there by 2 but I'll also call the #'s I have to hopefully clear up some of the confusion I started.

Oh, and to set the record straight... my wife was driving the car when the bicyclist rammed her. She was stopped, pulling out of a grocery store and the guy on the bike was riding on the sidewalk going the wrong way on a one way street and somehow failed to see her stopped in front of him and whammo. Stupid jerk. It will probably make my insurance go up next year.

See you at 2.
