How do I do it? I have an MPEG video all done and nice (good quality), but the size is 300+ MB? :dunno: I then made the same movie in WMV, and....to say the least, it sucks. What can I download to reduce file size of an MPEG video?
Thanks

firstly, download this - http://www.tmpgenc.net/e_download.html
http://www.observedtrials.net/otn/tmpgenc.gif
follow the steps.
1. open the uncompressed file, in your case a 300mb mpg, but you are better off using an uncompressed avi from premier or something.
2. click load, then open these settings from your harddrive. http://canberratrials.com/videos/DC.mcf rembereing to right click and save target as on these, otherwise it will open a funny code.
3. click start to start compressing and leave your computer alone for a while.
Any questions dont hesitate to ask.

I downloaded it, it opens fine. However, when i go to drop in my video into the video source, it says "the source can't be supported". what am i doing wrong? For audio it works just fine. :dunno:
thanks
You might want to give more information on how you capture your video, what format you capture in, what software you edit with, and in what format you export your video.

Well, to capture my video i use a program called "Movie Shaker", i hook up my digital camera to the computer and click capture for however many scenes i want to be loaded onto the computer. I am using "Video Studio 8" (VERY basic editing, i'm just getting started. planning to use premier soon) to edit. to export it, i am again using video studio 8. the format is MPEG

Yes, i can export as AVI, however, last time i tried that the file ended up being 6 GBs :dunno:
Is that normal?

mine usually end out as something around the 1-2gb range, ive had 11gb before. if you have the disk pace do that and just delete it afterwards. at least try and get back to us.
