Hey,

I like to watch a lot of the moves in trials videos in slow motion, but since most of them are in the .wmv format this is very hard to do. I'm just curious if there is a way to view these files in slow motion (like quicktime, frame by frame using the arrow buttons on the keyboard).

Also, what is a good mpeg compressor? If any of the canberra trials vids people see this post, what kind of settings and program are you running for your vids, the quality is very good and it allows me to view frame by frame.

Thanks for the help.

I don't know of a frame by frame player, but I know Alex uses tmpegenc for mpeg I encoding with a custom variable bitrate setting.

You could always get a converter and put the mpeg's into .mov files then watch them in quicktime.

Well if it's .wmv, just take Windows Movie Maker 2 and just add 1/2 speed in the video effects twice. That's how I did it...

http://canberratrials.com/videos/DC.mcf - Right click and save target as, then open them in the Load section of tmpgenc then export it. you can also play with the settings of this in notepad, remembering to save it as a .mcf file afterwards. you cant really customize it in tmpgenc.
