Riding in MD at the Watershed or Middletown Overlook

Its in Gambril State Park of US40. I suggest you ride the watershed area or the rocks of hamburg road (closer to the bottom of the hill) as the stuff by the overlook is kinda lame (I guess I rode there too much before).

Too bad I can't be there. :(

I was thinking everyone could meet at the Middletown overlook and if it seems "too lame" we could go else where...

Actually I've never rode trials at the watershed so that might be a better option.. It really doesn't matter to me as long as there are rocks to ride... Either way lets plain on meeting somewhere at 1-1:30... How’s that sound?

It's kinda big... We've had group rides with 7-10 people before with no problems... I will post direction tomorrow sometime... time for sleep.

You want to take 70 West to 40 West and then off 40 you will turn right onto... I can remember the name of the road, so if anyone, maybe Roman, knows please reply. If no one knows I will call the bike shop later tonight and ask them....



After that you just follow the road up the mountain and once you reach the top there will be a shape right hand bend, turn left there.

I will be at the Middletown overlook at ~1-1:30 tomorrow...

And I talked to my buddy about the directions and he said that the road off 40 W is Gambrill Park Rd. After you pass all the strip malls look for a restaurant on your right and Gambrill Park Rd is right at the restaurant. If there are any questions while you’re on the road give me a ring @ 717-360-4991 and I will try and help.

I hope the directions don't suck too bad! If so use mapquest.com...

You want gambril park road. It will take you to the mountain. Just follow it up and up and then once you are up top you get to an intersection. Go left to the overlook or go right for the watershed or hambrug road rocks. The road is kinda fun so you hit some really nice twisties.
