Gonna be missing it, myself. And I doubt any of the rest of the Ventura/Ojai crew will make it. Jon is without a bike (courtesy of them snappy Brisa forks), and the Ojai guys aren't driving yet (darn young-uns). Oh, and I've got to stay local this weekend, as my coworker is on vacation, I get to watch the servers. The fun never ends here.

I'll be there, but I'm not sure how many people are coming with me. I might be by myself, or I may have 3 or 4 others with me.

I'll be there, coming from Utah. I'll be riding sport stock.

Wish I could go, but I've only earned 2 vacation days so far and I'm gonna try to use them for Colorado. And if I left after work on friday, I wouldn't be there till midnight at best. Not gonna happen. I'll try to see you guys in colorado instead.

i dont know if im riding pro or what. i guess i will have to look at the courses. if they are stupidly hard above my head, expert it is... otherwise if i can make it past the first move in pro, i will get my but kicked in that. the cous is awesome. i hope my crap works though, i have been neglecting my normla maintanence on it lately.
goodhue from hawaii??? holy crap, i thought i had it rough driving out there.
So does anyone know what the sections will be like for sport stock? I've only done one other comp in CO. It was all rocks, and creeks-wet nasty stuff. The sections there seemed fairly short, but technical. Should I be practicing logs for Big Bear?
If they were like the last colorado comp, expect them to be quite long and challenging. No big moves, just technical stuff.

yoda-general tip of what i have found works for me: don't bother with urban that much. try and get a few natural rides in for every urban ride. by riding natural you progress in rock balance and you get better at urban (because flat ledges are oh so much easier). when on rocks-don't bother with rear wheel crap. both wheels all the way. only twice in keyesville did i go on backwheel (little gaps (2 of them) in one section. it was possible to surge them, though. so even then, backwheeling wasn't neccesary if you had control). just hop around rocks on both wheels. you'll get loads better. end of random tippage for the day
sorry i can't comment on big bear specifically, i've never been :ugh:
