It is on May 28,29 and 30th and only 4 hours further than you would be driving for the comp that weekend anyway. This should prove to be the very best road trip this summer!

Holy Shit that's a 15hr drive from Austin to Co.
and the Comp that is Ar. is only like 8hrs at the most.
I know the Ar. comp isn't going to have all the Elite riders abut hell that's a really really long ass way.
I think that i shall bite the bullet and go Ar. instead and play there. Save the cash for new bike parts :bigthumb: :drool:

This comp is getting out of hand!!!!! I'm in. I don't even have a job yet but I'm going for sure!!
Get to ride with all my Texas and Colorado friends at the same event, watch several of the best riders in the world. And avoid work all at the same time, this could possibly be one of the best comps the US has seen since it hosted the 2001 World championships (in my unexperienced opinion). If I am coming all the way out from Oregon, I don't want to hear any of you whinning about the drive from Texas. Dustin and Aaron better be there, I don't think I could respect you didn't.
Those of you that need a place to stay, I'm sure we have enough mutual friends between Patrick and I to board you all. See you all in about four weeks......

He's talking it over with the 'rents one more time, and if he can go, he'll ride with us as well. We just all need to caravan up there. Whoever rides with me will probably have to leave around noon on Sunday, Steven and I both have to be back for class on Monday morning, as does my wife, but for work. She's going to come along and stay with an old college roommate who lives in Denver.

Who plans on competing? I think I just may catch the group rides and skip out on the competition. All depends on the foot and cash flow I guess. I go back to the Dr. today, the ankle is still swollen and the swelling is rock hard for some reason...

I just talked to Stan, sounds like he and Kamil are riding together, they dont know who's car they are going to drive, but theyre going nevertheless.

So Sean and Stephen (and Aaron?), both of those cars with Stan, Kamil, Jeff, Jack, and Kelly are leaving Wednesday night. Could you guys leave Wednesday night too? And they are all coming back on Monday since it's Memorial Day, I didnt know that, that means I dont have class beginning that Monday and can come back on that day too, what about you two? Im going to talk to my wife about taking off that Thursday and then making sure she has Monday off as well.

My wife says she cant leave till Thursday evening, that is, she cant take off Thursday during the day. So basically. No matter what car we take. I guess Aaron, you could meet me here in Granbury, you and I drive to Fort Worth, pick up my wife and Sean you meet us in Dallas, (leave your car at my parents house or Steven's house), pick up Steven, and then we all leave from there and head to CO. We could all meet around 6pm load up and go. There's one plan possibility. Maybe Linz will somehow work out a way to take Thursday off too.

As usual, Im an earth viewing junky and was getting an idea of how things are spaced out in CO. Just wondering how easy it will easy to get from where we're staying to the comp, other places to ride, etc. So I made these following images. Maybe this will give some perspective to others as well.

CO-01, shows how everything is spaced out in that region we'll be in. The distance between Colorado Springs and Ft. Collins is about 1hr and 45min Im told. I hear Boulder might have some of the best riding, which includes the popular UC campus. So it's cool most of us will be near that area:

If it's the Thursday we leave for the comp, yeah. Just come up early and we'll figure out some time to ride. It may be that you need to even come up Wednesday and just stay the night so things would be easier.

This is why. I imagine we'll leave Thursday around 5pm. So what we'll have to do is go to DFW and meet my wife, Sean, and Steven, load them up, and leave from there. We have to go through DFW anyway, so that works out fine. So basically, if you want to ride Big Rocks Park, youd have to get to my apt. in Granbury real early, we go ride, come back to Granbury, make sure we have everything together, and leave around 3:30 to meet everyone at some spot in DFW around 5pm or so.

Well, that's the way the departure is panning out in my mind, who knows if itll actually work out that way.
