Totally F***ed

Alright,
So I was riding the other day and suddenly my fork feels really mushey. I notice that a bolt at the bottom has unscrewed, and the fluid is draining all over my front disk. So now something in my fork is blown out (no big deal, fix/replace is under the warranty). But mainly my front brake is messed up. Any tips for my newly lubricated brake? New Pads? Cleaning?

once you get that amount of oil on the pads, there pretty much fucked! New pads would be a solution.

Isopropyl Alcohol and new pads for the brake. What fork were you running that blew out? Rock Shox?

well, its all servicable. You won't have to worry about that kind of thing happening if you have a rigid fork :rolleyes:

Manitou has a 24 hr turnaround on repairs.The forks themselves last slightly longer than that.

And you can burn off the oil on a gas stove ,with some insulated pliers holding them.Do not breathe the fumes...AAhhhh
