Hy Guys!
I got a big problem... My Echo Control 26" Fork broke after 4 weeks, my Koxx Fork broke today after 6 weeks. I ride full HS33 so i cant ride a Syntace Fork. But I cant belive that Gilles or Vincent would brake all 3 or 4 weeks a fork!?? Does anybody knows what forks they ride or whats a solution for my problem? :wtc: wow what bad english :h5:
Thanks

I think their will always be abit of a problem with HS33 forks, whether they are front or reverse mount, as welding the mounts on always seems to create a stress riser and you can garrentee that they will crack at the top of the mount, I have seen koxx, echo, onza, loads of 4 bolt forks crack there.
Unfortunatly i am not sure what to suggest realy, i doubt they run a special fork, the one that vincent was running when he came over to the UK looked fairly standard, only thing i have heard is that the koxx riders use an alu steerer, but i am not sure how true that is.
Sorry i didn't realy help.

PS: I have seen worse english.

I'm sure Gilles and Vincent go through forks faster than you think... and that's fine for them since they are always getting new parts. For us normal people, they need to last a little longer than a few weeks. I have been using a Viz for the past three years... and I have yet to have any problems. I used my old fork for two years... hooks, taps, hard landings, etc. I just got the HS33 version for my new bike... it's the same fork, so I don't see any problems showing up. The steer tube is super solid and the fork legs are nice and stiff. I would give it a shot... I think you'll have better luck.

I use a zoo pitbull fork. It's heavier than the control but it is much stiffer and the 4-bolt mounts have held up well.

Yep, 4-bolt mounts do not do any favors for fork life span.
As much as all the companies on the market like to label them "trials forks".... they are really all off the shelf w/some cosmetic tweeks. Some better than others...but still, forks designed for "normal" cycling. Keep this in mind when doing hooks, taps and the like.
Until a sufficient number of trials riders are willing to pay for a fork designed to handle the stresses (likely to be at least a $250 fork) of trials much better, mediocrity will reign.

In terms of the total amount we spend for multiple forks per frame it seems that having a fork last as long as a frame even at a higher price sound reasonable.

The Koxx Forxx that you broke, were they the latest version with the extra weld around the crown? It's hard to explain... I'll try and get some pictures when I am back in work tomorrow.

Sorry I dont made pitures of it. It broke at the HS33 mounts and yes I got the "old" Version with the mounts on the frontside. We start a project in a few days and we will make Hs33 mounts on a Syntace Fork, its sponsore ware and we will try it :blah: But another thing --> I get no garanty on the Try All Fork course its sprayed black??? They cant be serious .... :umno:
