single wall rims?

I noticed some companies producing single wall front trials rims. Whats the deal? i know its lighter, but is it strong enough??

lone as you build them right and are pretty smooth on the front then their fine.
Ive had a single wall monty rim on my mod and its going strong and i lov going to the front wheel and spinning.

I haven't noticed anything different running the single wall up front other than being a bit lighter.
