Nice pics!
Composition is good, but I think the colours are a little too saturated for my liking...
Have you tried converting any to B&W?

As for lenses, I love my 28mm... It allows you to get in alot closer and also the wider lens makes the gaps etc appear slightly bigger.

I shot with an 80mm meduim format (equivelent of avout 50mm length lens for an SLR) on wed and found it too long. I had to basically stand twice as far away as I normally would.

Personally I like to capture alot of the background information in each picture, so a shorter lens suites.
If she wants a nice action shots with minimal background detail, then use a longer lens and stand back further.

All depends what you want to achieve I guess...

Peace

I only really like B&W for urban scenes or big rocks like Port Elliot, she's into landscape photography so I guess thats why the small apeture and large DOF. I'd prefer it the other way. I think she should use the flash more but she needs to get a remote setup going first I guess.
