new peddle question

MG-1's are a solid choice. I also like Xpedo MX-3's.

Both are lightweight, durable, and not too expensive.

I like the idea of replaceable pegs. Never seen that before, are they hard on shoes? Is that why there are trials specific shoes-to resist damage from pedals pins and spikes?

Replaceable pins are nice, but I never really used them. You want something with good grip. With replaceable pins, you can change the pins to be longer/shorter, which in turn would offer you more/less grip.

Higher quality pedals tend to offer replaceable pins anyway.

i think the mg1s (or any other mag pedal for that matter) are a bad idea for beginners... the soft material allows the pins to get ripped out too easily if you bash them much
