Alright fellas ive been reading for about two days about trials bikes but as always im the special case. Ive been riding my mountain bike for about 3 years and i really want to get into trials riding. My current bike is a 06 kona blast xl frame that isnt very good to do anything but xc riding. The main problem im having looking for a trials bike is that im 6'5 and 315 lbs (weight is shrinking),
What kind of geometry should i be looking for? i have a 34 inch inseam if it helps at all.
I have also been trying some trials moves on my current bike with little luck lol ..Ive still yet to master the wheelie.. manuals are a joke on my bike and ive got the endo down pretty well.. Im hoping the right bike will help me with this..
Thanks for reading..
regards.

geometry...something long and strong! +20-30mm bb with long/high stem and risers. Stay away from DOB for a frame :) Search for strong frames, maybe get a cheap echo that you can try out for a bit...or blow your whole wad on a FTW which will be strong enough, but maybe not a good idea for a first bike when you don't know what kind of geo you want.

Fresh Tank trials bike
full 7005 aluminum construction
integrated bash guard
V brakes but has mounts for disc upgrade
excellent condition barely ridden
if it's a Tank it won't be strong at all.

I don't know a lot, but if it sound to good to be true-it's probly a piece of shit. And the reviews I read, while trying to purchase my first bike recently, all say thats a horribly bike. Caleb

$60...just buy it, trash it, throw it away then get a decent bike once you've learned a bit.
If it were any more $ I would stay away from it and just buy a bike off someone on this site.

well im 6'3 and 230 lbs and picked up a 04 zoo! pitbull long and i love it. for a beginner bike strength isnt too much of an issue. tho i think my rear hub is shot
it will be tough to find a complete for less then $500, tho keep an eye out cause i got mine for not much more

Keep an eye out.
There was a few Simtra completes for sale on here just a short time ago.
They were slightly more then you were looking to spend but they were strong.

It killed me to wait around for a good deal, but I have seen some great deals right after purchasing my bike. When you start dreaming about reading threads with great bikes for sale, it may be time to bite the bullet. Great deals come to those who pay attention. Peace Caleb
