Today just may be your luckey day. I am having to sell my rare Balfa Minuteman steel frame mountian bike. Trust me it hurts to have to let this bike go but I severly injured my back so this type of riding is done for me.

Thankfully my loss can be your gain. I am selling it for 1500 and I put about 1500 into it last season with new parts listed below.

Frame: Balfa minuteman steel fram, size long, box chainstays and adjustable horizontal dropouts

Fork: Marzocci All-mountain 1 Brand new last year, lists for about a grand, paid 800 for it last august.
o External Air Preload
o 5-position TST System
o External Rebound Adjuster (bottom)
o ETA (top)
o TAS from 130mm to 150mm

Head set: Aheadset sealed bearings

Stem: Thompson elite (very good precise engineering piece with hidden bolts so you won;'t chip your kneecaps!)

Bar: Axiom

Brakes and levers: Avid BB7's (2007)front and back with 6" rotors and speed dial 7 levers. These are the most adjustable brakes on the market, and are better than 2/3rds of the Hydrolic brakes out there! These were installed brand new on the bike last season and were basicly just broken in.

Truvative cranks and BB, with granny god bash ring on right now with 22t ring, can have additional 36t ring put on with a larger bash ring if wanted.

Front Wheet: Shimano M-575 hub on Hill rod rim with intense Comp 60 race tire 2.35

Rear wheel: Shimano M-575 hub on Mavic EX721 (one of the strongest rims out there, it will take all the abuse you want and not budge) with Intense Comp 60 tire

Shimano Deore deraillure and front deraillure locked out as chainguide.

With the adjustable fork this bike can go from a nice plush 150mm of travel to being locked out and stiff at full compression for street/trials/dj riding, lowering the bike and making it more nimble. With the seat up and the fork out this bike can handle any trail (including shore style hits) that you can with ease. The drop/lockout the fork and drop your seat and she's ready for some trials and street riding, and to top it off, you can do bar spins during both ;)

As you might have gleaned already I truly do love this bike, and since Balfa was sold off to a UK firm that won't produce them they are incredibly hard to find.

If you don't believe me about how good this bike is, check this out:

If you get this bike you WIL NOT be dissapointed!

Because of my back injurt I am looking to get a longish stock trials bike or even a 24" like the onze zoot.

just a heads up...
i hurt my back riding trials so it may not be the greatest idea if you have a serious back injury.

A longish trials bike will kill your back, so many guys I know f-ed their backs up, me included. Be careful with it, it's gotta last you a while.

Oddly enough I'm pretty sure I talked to this guy at a bike shop a few weeks ago.

Guys name was Dan, but he was riding a Balfa 2-Step, with that same All Mountain 1 fork.

Seemed like a nice guy, but the type that over exaggerates everything to make himself sound cool and important.

Seemed like a nice guy, but the type that over exaggerates everything to make himself sound cool and important. There are A LOT of those that work at bike shops. lol My bud that works at our bike shop is exactly like that...he'd be hard pressed to do a 2 foot jump, but tells everyone he's doing 10 + foot stuff. lol
